Moving to Los Angeles in 1989 to start a career in modeling, heterosexual Rex Chandler appeared in some adult magazines and was suggested branching out into the adult film world. He made the leap into gay porn, but only as a strict gay-for-pay star and only topped in his films. His first film, the gay A VIEW TO A THRILL, won him the BEST NEWCOMER award, and he would appear in gay porn films until '95 or so. Even though he was technically "straight", Rex became a gay porn sensation nonetheless, with his chiseled body and blond hair.
